Just 10 kilometres away from
Kuala Lumpur city centre (KLCC), immersed in the jungle there’s a nice Fish Farm Thai Restaurant. It's set in a
small valley with a lake and it gives you a feel of being in Thailand or
Indonesia rather than Malaysia. The menu is a mix of Thai and Malay dishes and
the fresh seafood is the prime reason why anyone should visit. It’s also possible
to buy fresh vegetables and fruits that are grown in the farm (bananas,
papayas, pineapples).
The restaurant is frequented mostly by locals but there are a few expatriates as well. If you are planning to go with
children I strongly recommend a visit during lunch time. The restaurant caters for kids (some non-spicy
chicken dishes) who can also feed the fish. The fish food bags cost RM2, as the lake
is full of diferent species of fish it’s a great experience for the little ones. There are also a lot of monkeys
jumping up and down the trees nearby.
A visit to the Fish Farm Thai is
worth for the entire experience rather than just for the food, which is in any
case great!
