Chinatown, formerly known as the Old Kuala Lumpur was
founded in 1857. Its first inhabitants, the Chinese, congregated around Market
Square. As the town expanded it was renamed Chinatown.
I’ve started the visit at Jalan Petaling, Petaling Street
and strolled around its market stalls and food courts. Lively, busy, vibrant, and
of course a great place to find some bargains!
